In dreams, we can have unsettling experiences, but also moments that reassure us. The emotions we know from waking life do not disappear: they take on other forms and, at times, put us to the test.
For a moment, something within us seems held by the darkness. Yet the light remains, ready to re-emerge. In Lucid Dreaming, I sense this alternation: we do not remain in fear forever, just as we cannot hold on to serenity forever. Both are part of our experience.
In a lucid dream, we know that we are dreaming. We can feel afraid and, at the same time, be aware of what we are experiencing. This does not give us control over every image, but it allows us to pause, look, and choose not to run away. Living the dream fully, even when it unsettles us, can become an act of courage.Perhaps succeeding does not mean making the darkness disappear, but not allowing it to take up all the space.Accepting that there are difficult moments and moments of light within us, without being overwhelmed by them, can help us feel more whole.
