"Don't be Afraid"

Don’t Be Afraid is not a promise of safety, nor an invitation to pretend that fear does not exist. It is a voice we hear precisely when we want to close our eyes, turn away, and remain unaware. It asks us to pause at the threshold, before whatever troubles us, without demanding that we understand it at once. Crossing that threshold does not mean becoming invulnerable. It means acknowledging fear, listening to what it reveals, and choosing not to let it take control. Some trials come to us unbidden; they can wound us, unsettle us, and change the way we see ourselves. We do not have to call them gifts to find, in time, the strength to face them. This is the act of initiation: remaining present when our certainties begin to waver. Looking again, even when what we first saw frightened us. Accepting that the darkness may hold something we do not yet know: a limit, a truth, a part of ourselves that has remained hidden.Courage does not erase the darkness or guarantee an answer. It is the fragile, steadfast choice to continue on our path without abandoning ourselves. In this way, a trial can become a transformation: not because we cease to be afraid, but because we learn to move through fear and listen to what changes within us.
